KATHMANDU: Aarav Samrat Hada and Aaja Regmi won the U-12 singles titles of the first IME-JTI Grand Junior Open Lawn Tennis Tournament here at the Naulin Sports Villa on Thursday.
Hada defeated Pranav Manandhar 6-1, 6-4 in the boys’ section final, while Regmi registered a hard-fought 7-6, 7-5 victory over Subhangi Laxmi Shah in the girls’ final.
The tournament will conclude on Saturday with U-14 category finals.
Aryan Giri will face Chirag Timalsina in boys’ section, while Rayana Shah will take on Saloni Tamang for girls’ title.
