KATHMANDU: National Sports Council is organising the first Speaker Cup National Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Tournament in Liwang, Ropla from May 12-16.
A total of 10 teams — one each from seven provinces and three departmental sides — will participate in the tournament, informed NSC Member Secretary Kehab Kumar Bista at a press meet on Thursday.
The participating teams have been divided into two pools and top two side after league round matches will make it to the semi-finals. Top three teams in both sections will earn Rs 350,000, Rs 200,000 and Rs 100,000 respectively.
NSC has estimated a budget of Rs 5.5 million to conduct the tournament.
